Levittown Nassau

Levittown (formerly Island Trees) is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. It is located halfway between the villages of Hempstead and Farmingdale. Levittown has a total land area of 6.9 square miles.

Levittown borders Hicksville to the south, to the southwest of Bethpage, to the west of Plainedge, to the northwest of Massapequa, north of Wantagh, northeast of North Bellmore, east of East Meadow, and southeast of Salisbury.

Hempstead Bethpage Turnpike passes through the neighborhood and traverses east-west and is one of the main roads. Wantagh State Parkway and Newbridge Road are the other main roads with Wantagh State Parkway defining the west border and Newbridge Road barely passing through the northwest border of the hamlet. Jerusalem Avenue bisects west-east and turns into Gardiners Avenue after crossing Hempstead Bethpage Turnpike to the south. Other residential roads are Wantagh Avenue, N Jerusalem Road, and Seamans Neck Road.

Food Establishments along the commercial strip on Hempstead Bethpage Turnpike are Starbucks, Calda Pizzeria & Restaurant, IHOP, Tengs Restaurant, Global Buffet, Chen’s Buffet City, The Honey Baked Ham Company, Dortoni Bakery and Pastry Shoppe, Bagel Town of Levittown, and Cold Stone Creamery. Leisure places of AMC DINE-IN Levittown 10 and Laser Bounce Family Fun Center are situated on the end of the Hempstead Bethpage Turnpike road.

The Long Island Rail Road provides service from its main line stations in Hicksville and Bethpage as well as from its Babylon branch stations in Wantagh and Bellmore, although there is no passenger rail service in Levittown.

Nassau Inter-County Express buses serve Levittown and the rest of Nassau County.

The nearest commercial airports are John F. Kennedy International Airport and LaGuardia Airport in New York City proper, as well as Republic Airport in the neighboring town of East Farmingdale that specializes in general aviation and charter services.
