Holtsville Suffolk

Holtsville is a hamlet and census-designated place in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The majority of it is in Brookhaven, while the southwest part is in Islip. Holtsville is home to an IRS Processing Center. It has an area of 7.1 sq mi (18.4 km2) without water.

It borders Farmingville, Medford, North Patchogue, Holbrook, and Lake Ronkonkoma. It is served by 2 main roads that interchange at the center of the hamlet namely Long Island Expressway (Interstate 495), a freeway, and Nicolls Road (Suffolk CR 97). Interstate 495 covers the west-east direction whereas Nicolls Road does north-south.

Residence Inn by Marriott Long Island Holtsville stands right in front of the interchange. Adjacent to it is the Island 16 Cinema de Lux. Going south on Nicolls Road, then Patchogue-Holbrook Rd, then W Woodside Ave, is where Holtsville Wildlife & Ecology Center is located. North of it is the Brookhaven Ecology Site and Harold H. Malkmes Wildlife Education and Ecology Center at 249 Buckley Rd. Going south, taking Buckley Road past W Woodside Ave, is the location of Brookhaven Roe YMCA and Internal Revenue Service. It is also home to several schools including Chippewa Elementary School, Sagamore Middle School, Waverly Avenue Elementary School, Waverly Avenue School, Waverly Avenue School and Sequoya High School. Places of worship around are Jesus Is Lord Church of Holtsville, Long Island Baptist Church, Seed Peace Church. Several establishments around the commercial passthrough are Zebra Technologies Inc, Topgolf, Cheap Sam’s Plant Bargains, Wendy’s, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, Holiday Inn Long Island – Islip Arpt East, an IHG Hotel, Marty DeMeo Memorial Ball Field and Diamond Baseball Academy.
