Shirley is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in Suffolk County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population of Shirley was 27,854. Shirley is the western terminus of Atlantic Crossing 1, a major submarine telecommunications cable linking the United States with the UK, Germany, and the Netherlands. Soon, the Emerald Express transatlantic communications cable will provide data connectivity between Europe and North America, landing in Shirley. Shirley is a community in the Town of Brookhaven, on the South Shore of Long Island. It is named for developer Walter T. Shirley, who had the vision in the 1950s to turn the area on Mastic Bay into an affordable enclave. Shirley's company priced its 4,000 four-room homes starting at $4,700, and lots were priced at $295.Shirley is served by the Mastic–Shirley Long Island Rail Road station. The station was a compromise when both Mastic and Shirley campaigned for it. The Smith Point Bridge is the second of only two bridge crossings from Long Island to Fire Island, allowing beach goers easy access to the ocean without taking a ferry boat. The 7th Precinct of the Suffolk County Police Department is located in Shirley.
The electricians that Two Brothers Electrical of Shirley assigned to our job called to let me know they were on their way to my house. So we were off to a great start from the get go. They replaced an exterior light fixture that had been improperly connected by a handyman earlier in the year that kept flickering. They are very nice people as very professional.
This electric team has provided us with excellent service. They replaced some ancient lighting with gorgeous flush mount LED fixtures, updated all of our outlet and switch covers, and are returning to replace 8 more lights and a chandelier. We are very glad we found this company and will use them again for anything electrical.=
This company provided an excellent service, and I couldn't be happier. Their electricians placed four recessed lights and a ceiling fan in areas where there was no previous wiring in place. Very happy with Two Brothers Electrical of Shirley services.
Arrived on schedule and talked with me throughout the day while they were at my place in Shirley keeping me updated on what they were doing. They assisted me in installing a new light fixture that I was having trouble with. And they did some wiring work in a shed we have in the back yard. I was really pleased with Two Brothers Electrical of Shirley. I would call them again with no issued if I needed an electrician again before looking for another.
Electricians arrived early to the appointment and hung a chandelier in our lobby. The chandelier contains 15 separate lights dangling from it, each of which has to be manually wired up. Two Brothers Electrical of Shirley got it done. It seemed complicated but they made it looks so easy.
