Aquebogue (/ˈæ.kwəˌbɑːɡ/) is a census-designated place roughly corresponding to the hamlet by the same name in the Town of Riverhead in Suffolk County, New York, United States. It has a territory of about 3.9 square miles or 10.1 km2, about 3.8 sq mi (9.9 km2) of it is shared by land and only 0.1 sq mi (0.3 km2) is water. To the north sits Northville, to the west of Riverhead, Jamesport, to the east, and facing south is the Peconic River.

Cross River Drive (Suffolk CR 105) forms a boundary with Riverhead to the west and intersects with Main Road or NY 25 which stretches for a distance of 2.95 mi (4.75 km) from the west heading slightly towards the southeast, to the hamlet of Jamesport. The main road to the south is Hubbard Ave at the southwest half and Peconic Bay Blvd at the southeast end.

Aquebogue is part of Long Island’s North Fork wine region and is home to such wineries as Paumanouk Vineyards. The Vineyards at Aquebogue is at 978 Main Rd. Right across is Long Season Farms. Other establishments along the Main Road are United States Postal Service, Hampton Coffee Company, Aquebogue Veterinary Hospital, Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Barrow Food House, Meetinghouse Deli, Little Lucharitos, Modern Snack Bar, Old Steeple Community Church, Woodside Orchards – Aquebogue, North Fork Chocolate Company, and Sherwood House Vineyards. Establishments at the south-facing the shores of the Peconic River are Aqua by American Beech, J & S Reeve Cottages, On The Docks | Waterfront Bar & Grill, Lighthouse Deli, and Ace Catering. Peconic Community School is on Shade Tree Lane south from the Main Road. Riverhead Recreation Department is at 60 Shade Tree Ln.
